Our surfaces – a guide to our different finishes

Just like natural stone, porcelain stoneware can be finished in different ways. Bricmate offers the surfaces Matt, Honed, 3D.Fit, Silk and Brushed, each with its own characteristics and suited to different types of spaces. Here is a guide to the finishes, what distinguishes them, and where they are recommended for use.

Matt – the classic for all types of spaces

Our matt finish is available in all categories – Floor & Wall, Countertops, and Outdoor. For flooring indoors and outdoors, the Matt finish is always recommended due to its slip-resistant properties. Matt is also suitable for other types of spaces, such as countertops and walls.

Honed – exclusive semi-polished surface

Honed is a glossier option with a silky matt, polished surface finish. This creates a natural-looking surface that not only feels authentic to the touch but also captures light in a soft and elegant way. The finish works beautifully as a kitchen countertop, vanity top, and on walls in bathrooms, for example.

3D.Fit surface – natural and tactile

3D.Fit is the latest manufacturing method for creating lifelike and realistic surface textures for floors & walls as well as countertops. Patterns and reliefs are reproduced and seamlessly integrated with exact precision to create dynamic visual effects that blur the line between nature and technology. Read more about 3D.Fit here.

Silk – silky matt finish on marble-inspired countertops

The Silk finish has a silky matt surface that gives a soft and sophisticated feel. It follows the treatment typically used on genuine marble to achieve the most natural look as possible. It is available on countertops in marble-inspired series, such as Glanshammar and Kolmården.

Brushed

The brushed surface provides a softly textured finish and a pleasant tactile experience. This surface is only available on the Runö Warm Grey countertop.
